Anaerobic adhesive, also known as anoxic adhesive, is a kind of one component, medium high strength, thixotropic anaerobic thread locking adhesive. The product is solidified between two closely matched metal surfaces when isolated from the air to prevent metal parts from loosening due to vibration and protect joints from corrosion or rust. Anaerobic adhesive plays a role by completely filling the gap between parts. They are often used to enhance the sealing or retention of mechanically connected components. Anaerobic adhesive includes thread locking agent, thread sealant, retaining adhesive and gasket sealant.
