ADVANTAGE
1. The material is soft, with good compressibility, thermal conductivity and insulation, and the adjustable range of thickness is large. It is suitable for filling cavities, with natural viscosity on both sides, and strong operability and maintainability;
2. The main purpose of selecting thermal conductive silicone film is to reduce the contact thermal resistance between the heat source surface and the contact surface of the radiator. The thermal conductive silicone film can well fill the gap between the contact surfaces;
3. As air is a poor conductor of heat, it will seriously hinder the transfer of heat between the contact surfaces. Adding a thermal conductive silica gel sheet between the heat source and the radiator can squeeze the air out of the contact surfaces;
4. With the supplement of thermal conductive silicon film, the contact surface between the heat source and the radiator can be fully contacted, and the face-to-face contact can be really achieved. The reaction on temperature can achieve the minimum temperature difference;
5. The thermal conductivity of the thermal conductive silicon film is adjustable, and the thermal stability is better;
7. The process difference of the thermal conductive silica gel sheet on the structure is bridged, reducing the process difference requirements of the radiator and the heat dissipation structure;
8. Thermal conductive silica gel sheet has insulating property (this feature requires adding appropriate materials in the production);
9. Thermal conductive silica gel sheet has the effect of shock absorption and sound absorption;
10. The thermal conductive silica gel sheet has the convenience of installation, testing and reuse.
SHORTCOMING
Compared with thermal conductive silicone grease, thermal conductive silicone has the following disadvantages:
1. The thermal conductivity of thermal conductive silicone grease is 4.0-5.5w/m.k and 1.75-2.75w/m, respectively;
2. Thermal conductive silicon film with thickness less than 0.5mm has complex process and relatively high thermal resistance;
3. The heat-conducting silicone grease has a wider temperature resistance range. They are respectively heat-conducting silicone grease - 60 ℃~ 300 ℃ and heat-conducting silicone chip - 50 ℃~ 220 ℃;
4. Price: Thermal conductive silicone grease has been widely used, and the price is relatively low. Thermal conductive silicone chips are mostly used in thin, small and precise electronic products such as laptops, and the price is slightly higher.
