Nine major markets become LED enterprises to dig gold in the "new continent"

1、 Russia

Russia is the first to bear the brunt. According to the representative of the Russian Federation's Commercial Representative Office in China, Gruff, the Russian LED industry developed rapidly last year, with a growth rate of 250%, of which LED lighting accounted for 10% of the market share of the Russian lighting industry. Data shows that in the lighting market in 2013, the sales volume of LED bulbs in Russia was 1 billion and the sales volume was 40 billion rubles. As the Russian government has introduced a series of measures to promote energy-saving light sources, it is estimated that by 2016, the market share of LED lighting fixtures in the Russian lighting industry will increase to about 35%.

It is worth mentioning that "China has always been the largest supplier of lighting products in Russia." With Russia's accession to the WTO and the release of the incandescent lamp ban schedule, Russia has a huge demand for LED lighting facilities driven by this year's Sochi Winter Olympics and the 2018 World Cup.

In addition, Gruff came to China to "invite investment" in person. They said, "In my opinion, the preferential policies provided by Russia are more favorable than those implemented by China now.", He also said, "We very much encourage advanced Chinese enterprises to develop in Russia. Many Chinese enterprises come to Russia to invest in business development and worry about investment environment, taxes, legal protection and other issues. The Russian government has done a lot of work in the process of reform and opening up in recent years, and has made great improvements in company registration, investment, banking services, tariffs and other aspects."

2、 India

I always think that the popularity of the Indian market is mostly due to Modi! On May 16, when the Indian Prime Minister's election was held, the newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised to invest in power, railway and other construction to improve the Indian economy, and planned to make indoor lighting available to every household within five years. Modi promised that at least one bulb lamp could be installed in every household before 2019. I was almost moved by him!

Of course, they said it was a bulb lamp, not an LED bulb lamp. However, there is no uniform electricity price in India. Each state and city has its own regulations. The electricity charges are generally collected in a stepped manner. The more electricity is used, the more the charges increase in geometric figures. So, even to save electricity, Indian residents will choose LED lights!

Moreover, due to the low level of manufacturing industry in India, the overall level of LED lighting products in its market is low. Compared with the European and North American markets with high barriers, domestic enterprises may enter the ranks of high-end products if they turn to the Indian market. In addition, the Indian government is planning to encourage and promote the use of LED products. Some industry experts believe that the annual growth rate of the Indian LED market may even exceed 40% in the future, becoming a new position for domestic LED enterprises to actively "seize the beach".

In addition, nearly 80% of the lighting products in India come from China, and China has certain advantages in both reputation and sales channels in India. On April 2, the International Semiconductor Lighting Alliance (ISA) held the "Global Semiconductor Lighting Urban Application Seminar" in Frankfurt, Germany, Gushan Mr. Agger pointed out that the power consumption of lighting in India accounts for 20% of the power consumption of the whole country. The LED lighting market will reach 470 million dollars in 2015, and street lamps will account for 60% of it. Speaking of street lamps, the Joint Ministry of Urban Development of India has asked the state governments all over the country to replace 100% of LED street lamps.

3、 North Korea

It can be said that if the North Korean market doesn't make a sound, it has already made a surprise. "Did the Chinese made LED bulb lamp get robbed crazy in North Korea?" Even if the news is not on the "headline", the click through rate is still high.

According to foreign media reports on July 14, more and more North Koreans are snapping up LED bulbs made in China recently. Although LED bulb lamps are expensive, compared with traditional incandescent lamps, LED lamps have high lighting efficiency and significant energy-saving effect, which is undoubtedly the best choice for a country with severe shortage of electricity. Therefore, ordinary Korean people are willing to choose LED bulb lamps that are expensive but can achieve normal lighting under low voltage.

A source said that in the Korean market, the price of incandescent lamps is about 3 yuan, while the price of LED lamps varies, mainly depending on their shape. For example, LED bulb lamps that can be directly screwed into ordinary lamp holders sell for more than 10 yuan. Now, LED bulb lamps are quite popular in North Korea, at least one for each household.

4、 United Arab Emirates

According to the report issued by the UAE Industrial Research Center, the UAE lighting market is expected to grow by 15% in 2014. In recent years, the population of the United Arab Emirates has been increasing and urbanization has developed rapidly. In order to control carbon dioxide emissions and save energy, UAE state-owned enterprises have begun to pay attention to the advantages of intelligent lighting systems and environmental protection products.

LED lighting technology is an energy-saving and environment-friendly lighting technology, which can save energy by 70% and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 90%. LED lighting technology can be applied to lighting equipment in main roads, tunnels, bridges and public facilities. Therefore, LED lighting fixtures are very popular in the UAE market.

5、 Thailand

Also popular is Thailand, where the Fire Power Supply Bureau will intervene in the price of LED lamps.

The National Power Supply Authority of Thailand revealed that the power consumption in the first four months of this year (2014) showed a negative growth of 1%, which is consistent with the current economic situation. It is predicted that if the political situation returns to calm in the near future, the domestic power consumption in the whole year can increase by 2%. The Power Supply Bureau continues to promote the popularization of the use of LED energy-saving lamps among the public. It plans to intervene in the market price of LED lamps and control the price of each lamp within the range of 120-130 baht (equivalent to 23-25 yuan).

6、 South Africa

The South African market should not be underestimated. Samsung, an international giant, plans to set up new plants in South Africa. According to the Seoul Economic Daily, Samsung is optimistic about the local economic development strength, and it is estimated that the revenue in Africa will reach 10 billion dollars in 2015.

In addition, Ruigao announced in March that it would increase its shareholding in its sales subsidiary in South Africa, increasing its shareholding ratio from 49.99% to 100%.

7、 Other

In addition, the demand for LED lighting products in Poland, New Zealand and the Philippines is also growing.
