China has become the largest consumer of silicone materials

China has become the largest consumer of silicone materials. Due to the large export of textile, electronic and electrical products and the strong demand for silicone materials in domestic construction, textile, automobile, daily chemical and other industries, the development of silicone materials in China has been promoted. In 2010, China's siloxane consumption reached 555000 tons, accounting for 36% of the global total, becoming the largest consumer of silicone in the world; The industrial pattern of China, which is dominated by processing and manufacturing, has caused a great difference between China's silicone consumption structure and that of other countries and regions in the world. The proportion of silicone rubber and silicone oil in other countries and regions is average, while China is dominated by silicone rubber.

During the "Twelfth Five Year Plan" period, the average annual growth rate of China's silicone consumption is expected to remain at about 18%. In 2015, the consumption of siloxane is expected to reach about 1.3 million tons, equivalent to about 2.6 million tons of silicone monomer. In 2010, the output of organic silicon (converted into siloxane) in China was about 410000 tons; The consumption is 555000 tons. On the one hand, the organic silicon continues to maintain a steady growth in the traditional application field; on the other hand, it continues to develop new applications in new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, health care and high-end manufacturing, especially in solar cells, LED, personal care products, rail transit and alternative petroleum based products. Due to its broad market space, organosilicon has been included in the 12th Five Year Plan for new materials. More than 20 silicone products have been listed in the product catalog of the "Twelfth Five Year Plan" for new materials.

The "Twelfth Five Year Plan" of organic silicon will strictly restrict the access threshold and control the growth of production capacity. In 2015, the production capacity will reach 3 million tons to meet domestic demand and export slightly. According to the plan, 3-5 backbone silicone monomer enterprises with international competitiveness will be formed by 2015. The plan shows that two to three enterprises with a scale of more than 30000 tons/year and the production of silane coupling agents using green environmental protection technologies will be built. The total output will reach 400000 tons in 2015, and the number of varieties will exceed 100.

Up to now, only France and other developed countries have mastered the plant purification of bioactive silicone. The important role of organic silicon on organisms makes organic silicon products have great application prospects. In the next few years, the organosilicon products extracted by plant activity will expand explosively in medicine, beauty, health care and other fields.

The consumption ratio of organic silicon products in all walks of life depends on the industrial structure at that time. Taking Japan as an example, the distribution in 1988 was as follows: electronics and electrical appliances accounted for 25% - 30%, buildings for 15% - 20%, automobiles for 10% - 15%, food and medical care for 10%, office machinery for 10%, and the rest (including fiber, paper, plastic, paint, etc.) for 15% - 30%. It can be seen that electronic appliances, construction and automobiles are the three pillars of the silicone market in the country. With the market development trend in recent years, the development speed of electronic and electrical products still ranks first. The reliability and durability of silicone materials enable their applications in the construction and automotive industries to continue to grow; As the physiological inertia of siloxane and its safety and reliability to human body have been further confirmed, the application of silicone in medical and cosmetics has increased rapidly.
